Design

With its polished chrome exterior detailing, the Continental GT Azure evokes a timeless elegance that befits one of the world’s greatest grand tourers. Both the main radiator grille and the lower bumper grilles sparkle in the light, as does the Azure badging, leaving you in no doubt of the car’s identity. The stunning 22” wheels are unique to the Azure, however you can opt for alternatives from an extensive range.

On the inside, the car features design details that include unique treadplates engraved with the word ‘Azure’ as well as Azure fascia badging and seat embroidery. Everywhere you look, you will see evidence of Bentley’s attention to detail, such as the contrast stitching, jewel oil and filler caps, deep pile overmats, sports pedals and even an optional, heated duo-tone steering wheel. A panoramic sunroof floods the cabin with light, adding to a generous sense of space that belies the two-door configuration.

Performance

The twin-turbocharged, 4.0 litre V8 engine can power the Continental GT Azure effortlessly from zero to 60 in just 3.9 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds) and on to a top speed of 198 mph (318 km/h). The engine features variable displacement, enabling it to close off four of the eight cylinders when they are not needed, to optimise efficiency. The moment the full power of the engine is required, they automatically re-engage.

Four driving modes allow you to select driving characteristics that suit your needs, from passenger comfort to exhilaration. Adaptive three-chamber air suspension contributes to a remarkably smooth drive, as does the innovative Bentley Dynamic Ride anti-roll system, which works to keep the car level when you take corners, without compromising ride comfort when cruising in a straight line.

Technology

This is a car designed to prioritise wellbeing. That’s why it is fitted with the Front Seat Comfort Specification as standard, adding features including ventilation and massage functionality to each of the two front seats. It also adds comfort headrests and 22-way electrical adjustment, with memory settings for two occupants per seat.

Elsewhere in the cabin, the Pirelli Noise Cancellation System insulates you from road noise, for tranquil journeys, even when travelling at speed. Ionisers purify the air continuously, while mood lighting is adjustable for colour and intensity.

On taking the wheel, you will immediately spot the exclusive Azure graphics in the digital instrument panel. But there is much more digital technology at play in this car. Apple CarPlay* makes it easy to connect your phone, while an in-car Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless phone charging make it easy to continue your digital life on the move.

The My Bentley smartphone app gives you remote access to your car. It can alert you if the car is moved without your knowledge, it lets you check the car is locked and the lights are off, and it can even report on fuel levels.

Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist and a Head-Up Display form part of the Touring Specification. The car is equally at home in an urban environment, thanks to the City Specification, which adds even more driver assistance systems, including a Top-View Camera, Park Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition**.

Personalisation

Despite its generous standard specification, the Continental GT Azure can be enhanced with an enormous range of optional finishes and equipment.

In addition to a standard palette of sixteen exterior colours, there is the option to select any one of over 80 additional colours, by exploring the extended range, alongside the satin and pearlescent finishes available from Mulliner.

Inside, you have Bentley’s entire range of hide colours at your disposal, including two-tone colour splits. Your choice can be elevated further with accents such as piping and hand cross-stitching.

The full portfolio of Bentley veneers is also available – from traditional high-gloss wood (which can be further enhanced with polished metal overlays) to modern matte-finish open-pore woods like Crown Cut Walnut, Burr Walnut and Koa. If you prefer a more technical finish, materials such as carbon fibre and engine turned aluminium are also available.
